Before scheduling a visit, members of the public must be approved by the facility at which the offender is incarcerated. To do so, individuals must complete the Visitor Application Form that applies and return it to the appropriate facility. The review process takes approximately 45 days to 90 days from the date the form is received. 

Requirements and restrictions exist for visitation at all DOC facilities. Please closely review the following policies. Failure to adhere to these policies may result in revocation of visitation privileges.

SAU D Block visitation will be held on Fridays. Call the Visitation Office at (406) 415-6313 to schedule with 2 weeks’ notice.

To ensure the greatest number of family and friend will have an opportunity to visit their loved ones at MSP:

• Inmates may have only one visit per week with up to five visitors per visit.
• Low side visitation schedules will rotate every four weeks to allow all units to have both morning and afternoon visits.

After the Dec. 23-24 visit, family and friends may schedule visits on ICSolutions up to four weeks in advance.

Montana Women’s Prison 

Visiting hours:

Tuesday and Friday - 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday - 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
