Industries Programs

MCE's Industries program is comprised of several production trade shops in which inmates learn job skills, gain soft skills, and have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized credentials. 
 
Products are sold directly to governmental and nonprofit entities throughout Montana. A dealer network is also available in Montana to allow the sale of products to the general public. 
 
Industries Shops:
 
Furniture – handmade furniture in a number of styles and applications. Inmate AutoCAD designers design the products.  
 
Rustic Furniture – handmade and designed by Pintler Range Rustic Furniture. MCE's outstanding artists craft one-of-a-kind pieces. 
 
Print Shop & Sign Shop – commercial-grade print and sign shop with inmate graphic designers. Workers create printed and engraved products on a variety of media ranging from busines cards, to street signs, to banners. 
 
Sewing & Upholstery Shop – high-volume sewing and upholstery shop. Workers produce inmate scrubs, bedding, and mattresses for DOC facilities and a number of other facilities throughout the state. The upholstery shop performs custom jobs in material ranging from vinyl, to leather, to mohair, for a variety of applications. 
 
Garment Graphics (MWP) – custom embroidery, screen print, and sublimation shop with inmate graphic designers.
