Wildland Fire and Fire Kitchen Crews
Montana's Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC) partners with MCE and Montana State Prison for a Wildland Fire Crew, and Montana Women's Prison for a Fire Kitchen Crew. Both crews work throughout Montana assisting when wildland fires threaten our public lands.
Since 2002, the Wildland Fire Crew has assisted the DNRC. When the crew isn't fighting fires, the team works in surrounding communities on community service projects. The Fire Kitchen Crew was established in 2016.
