If you are visiting this page, it is likely that you or someone you know is a victim of crime. We know crime has a tremendous ripple effect with victims, the victim’s family and friends, and the community as a whole. Montana Department of Corrections Victim Services is here to help you navigate the corrections system. We cannot change what has occurred, but we hope to provide resources to make the journey ahead more understandable and supportive. We acknowledge that most victims feel confused, angry and overwhelmed by the criminal justice system. We’re here to help.
The goal of Montana Department of Corrections (MTDOC) Victim Services is to help survivors and their families understand the processes that occur in corrections to help reduce revictimization during this portion of the criminal justice system. We are here to provide you with information regarding healing opportunities, notification options, and for input throughout the time frame your offender is under MTDOC supervision. We invite you to explore our Victim Services pages. Here, you will find information about services we can provide, victim services personnel and links to other victim service agencies and referral services around the state and nation.
Maintaining safe communities is a primary goal of the Montana Department of Corrections. Throughout your continued involvement with the Victim Services Division, please allow us to help you in making your voice heard.
